Privacy

Primesaut runs no server for its games and does not collect information about you. The game and the site do rely on services from Google, Apple and Netlify, and this page says what each one receives.

Who this covers

This policy covers Primesaut's first game, on Android and iPhone, and this website. Primesaut is the studio name of one person who develops games independently in Quebec, Canada. Questions go through the contact page.

The game

There is no account to create. Everything the game needs ships inside the app, so playing needs no internet connection.

On your phone. Your progress, purchases and settings are saved on your device.

Cloud save. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on Android or Game Center on iPhone, the game keeps a copy of your progress in that account so it can be restored on another device. Google or Apple stores that copy under its own privacy policy. Primesaut does not receive it.

Purchases. In-game purchases go through Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment. The game receives a confirmation of the purchase and never your payment details.

Ads. The game offers rewarded ads in exchange for an in-game bonus, and plays one only when you tap to watch it. Those ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address and how you interact with the ad, to show and measure it. Ads are not personalized by default: AdMob does not choose them from your past activity. The Personalized ads switch in the game's settings turns personalized ads on, and off again. On iPhone, turning it on also brings up Apple's request to track. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, iOS keeps your advertising identifier from AdMob. Where the law requires consent for ads, as in Europe, the game also asks before showing one, and Privacy options in the settings lets you change your answer.

Children. The game is not directed at children under 13, and Primesaut does not knowingly collect information from them.

This website

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers.

Fonts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when your browser fetches them.

Contact form. What you send (your name, email address, subject and message) is stored by Netlify, which hosts the site, and forwarded to the studio. A bug report or an idea also carries the game, its version, the platform and, for a bug, the phone model, and needs no name or email. Messages are used only to answer you and to improve the game. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which sends information about your browser and device to Google.

Server logs. Netlify keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses.

Delete your data

Primesaut keeps no account or profile for its players, so most of what the game stores lives on your phone or in your Google or Apple account. Each kind is deleted this way:

  • On your phone. On Android, uninstall the game, or open Settings, then Apps, the game, Storage and Clear storage. On iPhone, touch and hold the game's icon, then Remove App and Delete App. Your progress, purchases and settings are deleted at once.
  • Cloud save. On Android, open Google Play Games, then Settings, Delete Play Games account and data, and delete the game's data. On iPhone, open Settings, then your name, iCloud, and delete the game's data. The copy is deleted from Google's or Apple's servers under their own policies.
  • Ads. Google AdMob holds what it collected under Google's privacy policy. On Android, delete or reset your advertising identifier in Settings, under Google and Ads, or Privacy and Ads on some phones. On iPhone, open Settings, then Privacy & Security, Tracking, and turn off the game or Allow Apps to Request to Track. Delete the rest on Google's My Activity page.
  • Anything else. Ask through the contact page, with Privacy as the subject, to delete your contact form messages or anything else Primesaut holds about you. Primesaut deletes it within 30 days and confirms by email.

What is kept. Google Play and the App Store keep their own records of your purchases, as the law requires of them. Netlify keeps its server logs for a limited time under its own policy. Primesaut keeps nothing else. You can also ask what Primesaut holds about you, or ask for it to be corrected, the same way.

Person in charge of personal information

As Quebec's privacy law requires, Primesaut has a person in charge of protecting personal information: the studio's developer. That role is reached through the contact page, with Privacy as the subject. Requests to see, correct or delete your information go the same way, as do questions about how it is handled.

Changes

This policy changes when the game or the site does. The date at the top shows the last change.
